Crucial-Live From The East
Drawn to casual Brooklyn street cyphers, he showcased his rap skills, and people soon took notice. Referring to him as a rising star, that’s when “FAME,” took center stage, but was later replaced by “Livefromtheeast” in 2015. After a yearlong stint in L.A. working with the likes of Tyrese, The Game, Tank, and Boi 1da, Live polished his flow, delivery, penmanship and style. Two years later, preparation met luck in a chance meeting with MBK CEO, Jeff Robinson. Live auditioned for him and was signed to Robinson’s MBK Entertainment roster the very next day.
“I held my composure while in there. I waited till I got outside then I ran laps around the building! That was one of the proudest moments of my life.”
The very next summer, Live dropped his first mixtape under MBK Entertainment, featuring a hybrid of rap and R&B melodies led by popular single, Coy. Two years later, Live truly put his rap skills on a pedestal in his Hip Hop mixtape, #PhuckYaCoSign, featuring contributions from Jadakiss, Freeway, Paul Wall, Smoke DZA, HITM Productions, Buda Da Future & Grandz Muzik as well as other heavy-weights.
To date, Live has been featured in BET 2013 Hip Hop Cypher, performed in legendary New York City venues; Hotline Ballroom, Stage 48, Webster Hall, and SOBs, along with sharing stages with the likes of Brandy, Elle Varner and Tiara Thomas.
